This is Mr. Feiler with the weekly message.
Second quarter ends this Friday, January 16th and schools will dismiss 3 hours early (we begin dismissal at 1:00). Be sure to check your child’s Schoology to make sure all assignments have been completed and reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions.
Schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 19th in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Looking ahead, report cards will be distributed on January 29th.
This week begins our Amira Reading Blizzard for students in kindergarten through 3rd grade. Students and classes will be competing to get the most minutes on the program. Students are also able to access Amira at home on any device to earn minutes. Please see the directions attached to the email you received for more information and reach out if you have any questions.
Ms. Engle wanted to share that Seneca’s Sing & Swing a Story: Mommy & Me program has started again! Our next session will be Thursday, January 22nd at 11:00 am until 11:30 am in the trailer.
She is also excited to announce our second Career Day! Career Day will take place on Tuesday, February 19. If you or someone you know would like to present about your career to our Seneca students, please contact Mrs. Engle at
[email protected] or 443-809-5945. We are interested in all careers, so we have a variety of information to share with our students.
Seneca will hold its first ever Family Workshop Night on Tuesday, February 3 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. The workshops will be:
· Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union – “Homebuying”
· “Creating a Learning Environment at Home”
· “Helping with Homework”
Finally, the PTA is hosting a Winter Wonderland Dance on Friday, January 30th from 6-7:30pm. Please save the date! They will have a DJ, crafts, games, and Chick-fil-A! You will not want to miss it!
